Volunteers are a group of people who give out time and efforts for community services. Volunteering is an unpaid activity and a means of giving back to society and is largely beneficial. As a community sporting clubs, we are run by the volunteers. Volunteers are integral to make work much easier. Each season, we rely on generous time, efforts and donations of our volunteers.
Volunteers are great supporters of grassroots sporting clubs. We appreciate every form of volunteering.
We have established a volunteering culture and enables you to:
- Learn, practice and experience new roles related to work, study or desired vocation
- Volunteering time is networking time. Many of our volunteers have gone on to land great jobs at our sponsors or members.
- Giving back: Volunteering helps you give back to society and can be highly rewarding.
- Volunteering is a form of experience and thus can form part of your resume or CV.
- Volunteering improves social life and relationship.
- Volunteering does not only promote physical well-being but help the mental state of mind.
- Volunteering makes you feel fulfilled.
Also, all our volunteers that commit to the whole season receive free WBFC apparel and free entry to one major function per season, e.g. presentation night or mid-year ball.
You can volunteer in any of the below positions:
- Website Manager: help with the day to day running of our website.
- Social Media: helps in managing our social media accounts.
- Social Club and Events Committee Members helps in the smooth planning of events.

- Matchday Volunteers and Match Day Volunteer Manager
- Training equipment manager
- Football Operations
- Sports Trainers and Medical staff: helps in efficient and smooth training of the players.
- Sponsorship: Assist in managing and getting new sponsorship.
- Fundraising: helps to raise funds for projects.
- Merchandise: is in charge of anything wears.
- Gate attendants: help in coordinating the assembly of people.

- Digital Media: designing posters and promotional material for the Club

- Club Property & Logistics: Manage the safety of the club properties and take care of logistics processes.
- Water Carriers
- Match Day Photographers: they take digital records of the day’s event.
- Facility management and cleaning/maintenance
- Ladies Social Committee
- Special Projects: e.g. Club facility redevelopments, Government Grant funding
- Boundary Umpires: they judge whether a ball is out of line.
- Umpire Escorts: they assist the umpires.
- Thursday Night Dinners: This includes servers, ushers etc.
- Committee members: Committees are set up towards achieving a particular goal. Members manage the planning and attainment of such a goal.
Note: there is no water-tight division of all these departments. They assist one another in their duties. Volunteer with us today!
