Developing Our Facilities
This facility fund is focused on supporting the development of new or refurbished local football facilities of the Mount Waverley Sports. Mount Waverley Sports is no doubt built on the solid foundation of hard work and perseverance. However, even at that, it requires a wide range of facilities to ensure it can remain functional. Even more, it needs to upgrade existing facilities to ensure that it meets up with present standards. This is where the facility funds become relevant.
Funding is key and integral to the overall function of any organisation. It is one of the determinants of an organisation’s efficiency. This is because it allows the organisation to enjoy access to a wide range of facilities that meets its needs. This is also the case with Mount Waverly Sports. We require funding to keep our facility functional.
Funds at Mount Waverly Sports are garnered through sponsorship and donations and are used for executing various projects. Our first major project was a new electronic scoreboard with video and sound playback to replace our old, dilapidated scoreboard, which was concluded in May 2016.
Funding promotes the organisation’s prestige and credibility. It relieves pressure on the Club’s annual fund. The idea of this facility fund is to get funds for the Club to run its ideas and projects. The Mount Waverley Sports including all Junior and senior teams has joined forces with Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) to create a new fundraising platform to improve the facilities at Mt. Waverley Reserve and Pinewood reserve.
The Club looks forward to executing two more projects which are:
1. Improvements in Facilities:
This project is directed towards improving the situations of our changing rooms at both reserves- Mt. Waverley and Pinewood reserves. These improvements include flooring, painting and creating a female-friendly environment for our female players. This will not only encourage participation among our players but also promotes training in a friendly environment.
2. New Lighting
This project is directed towards improving the lighting conditions of the facility at both Mt. Waverley and Pinewood reserves. This way, it becomes more functional.
3. Mounting Of A New Pavilion At Mt. Waverley Reserve
This will serve the present day and future needs of the Club.
All projects will play a significant role in maintaining and supporting the growth in participation numbers and community engagement that we have experienced over the last years.
We welcome helps and grants from individuals, clubs, organisations and establishments as the Club foresees itself, creating and achieving more projects in the future. Funds raised will be segregated for the use of funding the projects mentioned above.
